What are my Chances? I'm worried.

    Advertisements

    Hi all,

I know this is getting to be redundant but I'm thinking about applying to AUA for September 2011 and I was wondering what my chances are:

    my gpa: 3.01
    my prereq gpa: 2.56
    No MCAT
I have a double major in biology and teaching, will be certified to teach when i graduate undergrad and a also a minor in health care management.

    what are my chances?

chances seem ok, but please read all the posts regarding AUA's clinical rotation spots and loan situation before applying here. try taking the mcats again and apply to the big 4. going to any of those 4 schools will make ur life 100000 times easier because they have certified loans and rotations are not an issue at all. the basic science here is good but beyond that i would not recommend this school in the long run because of all the headaches students experience after 5th semester. just my 2 cents.

Loan issues? Isnt AUA one of the few schools (besides the Big 4) that actually has a loan?

Everyone is granted an interview; however, obviously not everyone is accepted. Our average GPA for accepted students is 3.2. You must note this is an average. We are looking for individuals who we can project succeeding in the basic science program (and clinicals, residency, etc).

Use the interview as your "time to shine." Also, be ready to explain the 2.56 science GPA.

Good luck and PM with specific questions.

Hello this is a biology student from Montclair State University New Jersey United States. I have a question well researched as to what the answer may be, but will ask for something more specific to me. I wish to enter into a good medical school any where in the world, and would like to know my chances of getting in possibly to the so called big 4 in the caribbean. I'am a senior with 5 courses left to take which can raise my gpa, I have 2 years of volunteer experience and participation in various school clubs. I have not taken the MCAT yet but I'am taking the kaplan prep course from may to august, and will be taking it in august. My science gpa is 2.694 and my cumulative gpa is a 3.065. What are my chances for admission at accredited schools any where in the world preferably the supposed Big 4?
