at the end of MED1 you will have 2 shelfs: Anatomy and Histo...
For anatomy - BRS and of course study consistently through the semester.
For Histo - Dr.S's lectures are enough to get a pretty good score, but this means that you should study during the semester also LOL....

    Goodluck.

For Histo make sure you attend the shelf review Dr. S gives at the end of the semester and study the packets he gives you.

For Anatomy, the comp exam at the end of BRS should give you a good idea of where you stand. Also, make sure you know your abdomen and pelvis in and out. Lots of questions from those two areas.

Use First Aid as a supplement for Anatomy. It can only help you. I don't think there is a Histo section in there though

    Review Course

Is there an on campus USMLE review course offered at this university? In other words, after the student completes basic sciences courses, is there a course offered to fine tune for USMLE Step1, or does one need to return to the US to prepare?

Currently, no. After you complete basic science (semesters of med 1 - 4) then you return to the US for an "Intro to family practice/internal medicine" semester. This is done in 5 cities around the us, and is basically an "intro to the US hospital system". Each site is different, and each offers different 'classes' for review, but there is no real "step 1 review course" given by the school. Step 1 is taught in basic science (and taught quite well IMO). If you do well on the island in your classes, your review time for step 1 should be fairly easy as well.
