the majority of people on here will tell you to come back to a carib school as a last option, after you've earned a bachelors degree.

It means that you should NOT got to the Carib straight out of high school. It should be a last resort, not a first choice.

    Either:
    1) go to college, study hard, and apply to US medical schools (BEST CHOICE!!!!!)
    or
    2) apply directly to a well-respected 6-year program in Western Europe... and that is only if you are mature beyond your years and know what the bleep you are doing.

Go to college, for crying out loud. Have a real college experience. The Carib isn't going anywhere, and you are obviously smart enough to likely do very well in undergrad and get into a US medical school.

well the thing is that I only wanted to get with AUA because of their joint program in an indian college...and i have no plans of going to the Caribbean...its a program in which you do your med school in the indian school and come back to the states to do your residency..

If you want to go to school in India, why not go to an Indian medial college - not sure how that works but I've always heard theres some you can just pay to attend.

Also, a 1700 is not very high - college would be a good place to improve that standardized testing.
High school gpa means nothing. College would be a good place to find out how you fare in science courses. (community college doesn't count)
College would be a good place to mature.

    ... go to college

    everyone gets in

Why not try a better school like DOW, or Aga Khan if you're looking to go to that area anyway?
