    Rotations Issue

    Advertisements

For all the current students at AUA:

What is going on with AUA's rotations? Has the school found an alternative site for rotations yet?

Been going on before december my friend...... Luckly I get to go to my rotation in the next few hours...unlike my friends. This situation is ridiculous.

They are doing a better job at organizing it currently than how it was going on a couple of months ago. They actually have enough staff to help now and the elective coordinator AC is super nice and prompt. They are also scheduling people's schedules out once they give you a rotation... so its all about getting that first rotation it seems.

Actually, they are not willing to put up some good money to secure rotations.....they are more interested in bigger profit margin. Many other schools are investing more in rotations and guaranteed their students rotations.
Why AUA has more than 600 hundred students waiting for rotations? Consider this.....the size of the first semester class exceeds 200 students three times a year.

In the past, you mentioned your Step 1 score was 99. From your responses and contributions and your Step 1 score, you will make a good technician.
Do not forget, in the United States there are two classes....leadership and technician.
Do you understand what is going?

I will address the class sizes as that is the area I am well versed on... I have been to Antigua three times, January and May specifically to help with the class registrations. I can honestly say there were NOT "over 200" students in either of these classes, for those entering into Basic Science 1. September is of course the largest class size and I am positive you find this at all the other Caribbean programs. I work in admissions, interview candidates, and have sat in on both classes - your numbers are grossly inflated. Maybe some January or May 2010 students can chime in with their own feedback.

Hope this information helps for the prospective students out there.
