    does the clinical situation/wait time also apply to the fifth semester, family medicine? before you've sat for the step 1?

    no..5th sem is part of basic sciences..and there is no wait..only wait is after taking step 1 which is sem. 6 and on.

    5th semester is actually a "clinical" semester... not a clinical semester. notice the quotes. u have to pay clinical tuition not the cheaper basic science tuition, but the rotation does not count towards your license.
