Approximate wait time to get into rotations?

    Advertisements

Just wondering if there's been any improvement on how quick you can start rotations? And if it's true that some people have had to wait up to a year for a spot?

If you have to wait 6 months for your first rotation, how long will it take you to finish all the clinical requirements?!

as long as i can get my rotations all within a decent time frame from one another i'll be able to match my 2012.

jsgm19--- i do a lot of volunteer work. I am a licensed fire fighter/emt and i volunteer at a research center as well. I also have my phlebotomy license- so i was able to go back to work for who i was working for before i went to the island. you just have to make sure you let a potential employer know that you could have to leave at any time.
i would suggest for anyone who will be out for a while.... you have time to go get a phlebotomy license (which takes 3 months), or go be an ER tech, or get an EMT basic. There are lots of things that you could do. Take advantage of your time--- just don't sit on your butt.

I was an EMT before med school and while I'm waiting to start my rotations (been a few months now) I'm working as an EMT.

Tperrin, who is your coordinator and how were you able to set something up? By the time June rolls around, I will have been waiting just as long as you have but still haven't been able to schedule something.
