    Newly accepted to Sep 10

    Hello everyone!
I got accepted to AUA for sept 10. I feel like I havent really done my research well/ I am not able to find answers to some of the questions that I have so I am hoping you could help me out.

    1) If I want to pursue the program in Manipal instead of in Antigua ( My entire fam is in India ) is that still possible?
    2) Does the process take longer in Manipal?
    3) Does Manipal provide adequate training for USMLE?
    4) AUA is NY accredited, Does that mean I am limited to residencies only in NY? And if I want to practice outside of NY Would that limit me?

Thanks a bunch for taking time out!

    1. i did my basic sciences in manipal and currently, i'm doing my rotations in baltimore, so yes you can still apply to manipal part for your basic scs.
    2. in manipal, it take 4 semesters over 2 years but i think in antigua, it's only 16 weeks (double check?)
    3. quality of education, i felt, was much higher since you are taught by the best of the best from the regular KMC MBBS program professors. you do need to take and pass shelfs and comps (just like the island)
    4. that's not true, a lot of students (esp 2010) have matched outside of NY. you can apply for licensure in any state excluding CA (and maybe TX, double check)

let me know if you have more q's. g'luck!

I am leaning heavily towards finishing basic sciences in Manipal, I feel a 6 month semester may be better for finishing such a heavy course load.
That being said, when do you expect to graduate? do u expect to finish your rotations in 2 years and graduate alongside people who started in the same year as u in Antigua?
also, do they allow students to stay off-campus in Manipal? Do they provide any specific help for MLEs?

    Thank u!

PS I would really like to talk to u about this in more detail but I cant send u a message just as yet...

    Financial Aid

Hey ... I have a question regarding tuition fees at Manipal. Are the tuition fees and housing fees the same at Manipal as they are at Antigua. I have been getting a different answer from people. Please elaborate...
