    AUA and California approval

    Advertisements

Just got off the phone with Pat Park at the CA Med Board. AUA is far from being accredited in California, only in "paperwork" and should not even be recruiting students from California. Exact words from Mrs. Park. A site visit cannot happen for a "while" she said. what a blow...

yeah enough with this Cali thing. The simple answer is that if you want to practice in the sates where AUA is approved then great...otherwise if you want CA then 'Don't go to AUA'. Period!!

What I always tell students from CA: "If practicing medicine in CA is a priority for you, AUA is not yet a good option since we have not yet successfully completed the CA Medical Board's Approval process."

    Hello.
I have a question for Mr. Tipton or anyone else who can answer this question. What happens if you took the first 2 years at a cali approved school and then transferred to AUA for clinicals? And yes, it was a dismissal due to the comps. Do you think that will enable me to practice in cali (crossing fingers)?

If you graduate from a medical school which is not approved in CA you should not expect to be able to practice medicine there.

Everyone uncross your fingers, pick up a pen..and open a book..and use it.

    Forget Cali.

And the more annoying students keep calling them, the more it wont happen.
