    Clinical Rotations are not assigned?

    Advertisements

i was talking to some AUA residents and it seems to me that unlike other schools such as St. Matthews, the students at AUA are having to find their own rotations.... is this true??? im sure that this translates into a HUUUUUUUGE problem for AUA students down the line....

AUA is a peculiar school, on one hand they are spending all this money on a new campus and stuff but thats all i seem to hear about...

at least with SMU (and its cali disapproval) there are many good comments about its basic sciences program and its clincal rotations are in order...

how long will AUA have this rotations problem? its really aggravating to weigh the pros and cons of this school.....

Then don't do it just go to SMU its simple as that (you seem to have made up your mind already)

And no one knows how long AUA will have those problems. So may be you are better off picking a school that is older than AUA and has same amount (if not more) problems.

    hello

Um after going through many posts on this forum, a lot of people didn't have significant problems with clinical rotations. I guess speak to Mr. Tipton about it, he would probably know and personally from reading the forum, I think AUA is doing a good job with everything so far.

Incorrect. I have no idea what you've been reading. It was just this Tuesday that a group of AUA students, me included, had to directly ask a hospital to give us a spot on the first day of rotation. There is also a long waiting list just to start rotation.

Are you doing rotations right now? Are we even reading the same posts?
