Some help in vacationing in Antigua!!

    Advertisements

    Hey guys,
I currently go to AUC but my girl is coming in to SXM in March
and I'd like to explore another island and spend a night there.
Like all of us we're on a student budget and wondering if
its possible to get reasonable rates on hotels in Antigua. If anyone
has any info on getting a good deal please let me know!
    Also any interesting vacationing ideas....

I'm also considering Curacao, St. Kitts, Montserrat, and anywhere else
    that Winair goes to.
I'll hit up the UMHS & St. Eus crowd on ideas for their islands.

Good luck on your upcoming blocks!

    Hey!

Sandals resort is pretty nice but I can't imagine that being too cheap. There are other resorts on the island further away from St. John's towards Jolly Harbor that I was told are cheaper. Sorry but i never stayed in any so I can't be def on the prices/quality.

If you come to the island I would check out English Harbor area. It was really nice. When I was on Antigua I travelled to St. Kitts and St. Lucia. I really really liked St. Lucia and would def recommend that island.

    Have fun

Don't visit Antigua. It is a horrible place where the locals will hate you and scam you and the police will try to rob you.

    Antigua does't deserve your money.

My dad got a pretty good deal at Royal Antiguan, you will just have to bargain. However, it is not as lively as Jolly Harbor or English harbor.

i've had a lot of experience in both SXM and ANU..
SXM is a much more developed island..
if you're looking into doing island-y stuff then antigua is cool.
but the beaches are roughly the same..
night life is very weak compared to SXM...
and food is much more diverse in SXM.
