Need Help: What to study for COMP EXAM?

    Advertisements

This is a good post - I transfered to AUA from RU. Does anyone have any advice on how to get ready for 5th semester's COMP Exam?

I need to know especially since I'm in "Special Status" and not in Miami, FL.
How did AUA students get ready for this?

You are studying for an exam that is the most equivalent exam to that of the Step1. So study as if you are studying for the real thing. Study FA, do Uworld questions, take an NBME, etc.. And brush up on subjects that you struggle with. This is if you have time. If you do not, just do your best and take it again in 5th. But you will be suprised how much your 4th semester classes will prepare you for the comp. All the best!

If your in 4th, i would focus on brushing up classes from a semester or two ago like biochem, micro/immuno, and neuro... majority of the will appear to be path but you should of studied for the shelf already.. maximize your time by going over stuff you feel least comfortable with...

The exam is similar to subject shelf exams... but now you will have questions from all subjects.. if you have been doing well on the subject shelves you will be fine...

    good luck!
