    Questions about grade calculation

    Advertisements

Ok I just made an A- in one my lit classes and I was wondering how an A- is factored into gpa. Does AUA count it as a 4.0 on a 4.0 scale or something like a 3.8? At my school it shows up as an A- but its calculated as a regular A in my gpa. So do - and + count into gpa calculation?

Yes. For Admissions purposes Minus is calculated by subtracting .34 and Plus is calculated by adding .33 to the grade points. eg A- = 3.66 and B+ = 3.33
