    Flying to Antigua

    Advertisements

I been booking with A site called Vayama to get to and from the islands and found it to be cheaper than booking with the airline or Expedia, Hotwire, etc.
Anyways, since people will soon be departing and arriving, I thought I would share it with everyone. Check it out here, or go directly to the website here.

Please let me know what you think about the site, like if you are finding decently priced tickets! Thanks!

Not to mention clothes in a carry-on bag..since your luggage will be lost for at least 3 days..and then YOU will have to drive to the airport when they "find" it.

It is not even a joke. The odds are that your luggage will get lost at some point. Try not to go through PR and end up on a tiny plane. My luggage was lost for 6 weeks. Don't put anything you really love in your luggage. Now I am that person at the airport with way to much carry-on. My back always hurts for days after a flight and running around airports carrying a 100 pounds of books and what-not. But it is worth it to actually have my stuff when i get here.

Very true and very funny rahulb! and yeah, the airlines here seem to ALWAYS lose luggage. The smaller planes ALWAYS suck though. Doesnt matter hat airline you fly, cause since the wind is a bit stronger here, the smaller planes get tossed around more.

I thought the tickets on vayama were cheaper too, around $400-$500, but that is the price without the extra $150-$200 fees. I booked directly from the American Airlines site, it was cheaper than vayama. Someday I want to fly liat, I think it would be cool to be in a state of anxiety for a couple of hours.

kayak.com and sidestep.com (they're essentially the same website) have always been the best for me. if you live near a few airports, make sure you check off the box that reads, "include nearby airports". newark to antigua, and back, for $504, non-stop.
