AUA takes a decent amount of transfers. What school are you looking to transfer from?

I would not start out at another school w/ the intention of transferring down the road. That's just dangerous.

I completely agree! I guess I didn't read the whole post. I thought you were already at a med school. AUA takes transfers from the top 4 schools without too much of a problem but to go from a school lower down than AUA to AUA is much harder.

I didn't read that implication originally. Thank you for clarifying! If a student is seeking transfer from one insitution to a second, the second institution should always be contacted to clarify transfer policies. Which I guess the OP is attempting here.

Today the handful of Caribbean schools which have Premed programs vary widely in their curricula and admissions standards. Thus beginning your education at one Caribbean school with the idea of transferring to another is indeed risky at best.

Also as AUA matures as an institution our standards have become more and more strigent over time. Even if we accept a student in transfer from ABC school today with XYZ grades & credentials, is only a slight indication AUA will accept a similar student in the future. Or if we do accept her, it may be at another level (Premed vs. Basic Sciences).
