Does anyone know if block classes are being offered this time around. And if so, which ones? Thanks!

And after i wrote that reply, this email was written to our school email accounts:

Please note that petitions for the following block courses are available for signing in the Registrar Office:

    • Histology/Cell Biology 5 Credits
    • Genetics 4 credits
    • Behavioral Science - 6 credits
    • Neuroscience 6 credits
    • Organic Chemistry II

These are just the petitions..but we did ask Dr L point blank if there would be a genetics course taught over the block and he said no...If they get 100 signers for the petition will he change his mind? I have no idea..but the question was asked specifically after the first mini to help students decide about dropping a course or not.

I'm thinking about taking either Genetics or Neuro block, assuming they're offered. Which would you guys recommend?

When i signed the behavioral petition today I asked Mrs R about the block genetics and how Dr L said he wouldn't be teaching it. When I asked if she knew anything, she just shrugged and said it's only a petition. There has to be a minimum of 5 people for the school to consider offering the block (both genetics and behavioral had like 15 names already) but i still think Dr L won't offer genetics. Which leaves neuro..plus biochem and genetics go hand in hand sometimes (you study the disease in block 1 for biochem..and then the same disease in block 3 for genetics, etc). Just my 2 cents!
