How much material do we need to know for Pre-med 1-4?

I'll be starting here in May and would be grateful if anyone could shed some light on how much material we need to cover for each subject ie Calculus, Org Chem or Physics. Are we talking whole textbooks or chapters here?

Is the bulk of the material we need to learn spread out across the 4 semesters?

Btw I have been hearing about a placement test on the first day of orientation, any news on that?

Don't worry about the placement test, although they make a big deal out of it in the first few days, it has no value. For the January 09 class the test on the orientation day was a Pre-Calculus/Calculus Test. Also, everyone had to take the test, even people who were not going to be taking Pre-Calculus or Calculus at AUA.

Premed 1 and 2 are the easier semesters and Premed 3 and 4 are the harder ones. Premed 3 isn't much harder than 1 and 2 but 4 is significantly more difficult.

You will not be covering the whole textbooks in the courses you have stated but I think most of it will be covered. Some information that is "not important" for medicine will be filtered out.

Good luck, hope to see you in May
