    Application Question

    Advertisements

I am almost ready to apply for September 2009, but I have a question about the requirements. I was wondering if the 1 sumester of english could be substituted with a full-year, writing intensive social science class? The class consisted purely of chapter readings and essay based exams as well as assignments. Can anyone shed some light on my situation? Thanks.

AUA requires a minimum of 1 Semester of English Composition to fulfill the English prerequisite.

Literature, Public Speaking, Rhetoric...etc will count as well. The only students who usually don't have a Composition course are educated outside the US. Canadian universities usually have some humanities course with a strong writing component which AUA's Admissions Committee will allow to count for English.

I actually am a Canadian student and the course was an intense writing class. I am definately going to give admissions a call to make sure that this will pass as my english credit. Hope to send my application very soon, Thank you all!!
