So I will finish my 90 units by the end of this year, my 2nd undergrad year at UCR, I am unsure as to if I will be very unprepared to handle the basic sciences at AUA if I apply and get admitted to the Med program because I do not have a degree, and did not do premed at AUA. Please give any advice/help in my situation.

have fun, finish your 2 years with straight A's, get your BA/S, get into DOMESTIC schools.

why would you apply to AUA (or any foreign school) before you've given yourself a chance.

Well I feel that the rate I am going my gpa will be satisfactory and I might end up waiting a year to apply again...Going to the Caribbean after my 2nd year is complete will allow me to go straight into med school. I just do not know if I will be fully ready for the academics portion compared to others.

    Hi

Hey I am doing premed 4 this semester at AUA, taking cell bio, genetics, Anatomy and Physiology and microbiology. I had them at my university and i aced them, but had to due a semester of premed due to my science gpa. But honestly the courses are way tougher here, especially the premed 4 Anatomy and Physiology. For med 1, there are some people who did 2 years, who are busting their butt playing catchup with the amount of work given but its all doable, you won't go out much once you get here. well take care good luck.

take your time...now is the best time to be a student and the worst time to be looking for a job...this recession may take 5 or 6 years (conservatively) to completely recover
