is it possible in Antigua? does anyone throw down? I'm not looking for huge swells or anything, just something that a Canadian snowboarder may have some fun with in his spare time! lol

The waves aren't big enough to surf really. There is more "wind surfing" here than regular surfing..At least what i've seen.

im a snowboarder as well... look up the kite surfing rahul is talking about, it looks rlly fun. Its 40 bux US for a half day here and 60 for a full day. it seems like a sick time, u can do a lot fo aerial tricks and they even have a ramp and rail in the ocean.

yes there are sharks BEWARE don't swim out too far. i went snorkeling with my roommate and we made it probably 3/4 of a mile out and saw some dangerous looking fish and sharks. needless to say we hustled back to the beach and passed out in the sand from exhaustion.

the water has been really weird lately because of global warming or whatever. you see grouper and massive marlin very close to the shore. be careful when you get in the water regardless.

You CAN surf on the island TOM... and RAHUL... gah... you need to tell this rookie how to do it on the south east side of the islan... half moon has some good waves sometimes 2.5 meters... there is coral however so you have to find a lane where there isn't much and stay in it.... i was talking to some locals and they said english and jolly harbor are good for it.. not sure about where to rent a board... call the kite surfing place theyll know...
