Biochemistry - Dr. L is very very detailed. To dag on detailed. His questions will be the down fall of the semester. Dr. M, bless his heart, can't seem to teach unless the powerpoint presentation is working. But when it comes time to talk about Obesity, he'll teach you more than you'll need to know. Dr. S, you will love her test questions. They are straight forward, to the point, and straight off her slides. Keep up with it. Try to stay above 70 and not rely on the fact that Dr.L makes passing a 58. I can't really say whether or not going to class benefited me. But I did go to every class. For the shelf do Kaplan and first aid, and you'll be fine.

Genetics - same as above. For the final, use the same study techniques that you do for the other 4 minis and you should be fine.

I'm in Physio and Neuro right now. But here's what I've gathered so far,

Physiology - If you study Dr. S's notes and do Kaplan on the side or Pass videos for clarification, you should be fine. We have Dr. N's test left and from what I've heard from previous semesters, I'm not worried about it. For the shelf I've been told to memorize first aid and do kaplan videos, so that's what I'm doing.

Neurology - I studied Matt's and Rahul's notes for tests 1 and 2. I feel I could've done better on both minis if I stopped 2nd guessing myself. Overall it's not a bad class. Dr. G says everything right out of those notes. The only stuff he says that may not be on the notes is when he tells us questions to look out for on the step and shelf exams. For the shelf I've been told just study his notes and perhaps 1st aid and to go to his shelf review.

If you can keep your head above the water (above class average) i think youll be ok, however be prepared to pull many all nighters and become addicted to coffee or other stimulants lol. Just watch out for the shelves because apparantley they are nothing like how they test us for the in house minis...

    Also true story
