    EMT Scholarship?

    Advertisements

Hey whats up future docs? I had a quick question about this EMT scholarship. I do not currently have my EMT. I am going to be in the class of May 2009. I can get the EMT certificate this upcoming semester before going to Antigua. Is it wise to do this so I can get that scholarship or I am I better off taking other class to prepare me for med school? The EMT take off 1500 per semester in tuition. Any help please? Would I be guaranteed that scholarship? Thanks a million folks...

Think you have to apply for it, and there are plenty of ex-EMTs who apply to Carib schools - don't think everyone gets it.

I was told I was going to get the EMT scholarship ... I am still waiting for it

-- it will get you out of the EMT course which will save you a lot of time, so I recommend taking it in the states

    Is it the basic certification?

Now, I know that there are three levels of certification, basic, intermediate and advance. Do they only require the basic certification(11cr) for the scholarship? Im sorry for asking, but I attempted to get a hold of the scholarship coordinator, shes on vaccation til next week...Just trying to make a decision on taking more prep class's for medical school or doing the EMT certification...
