In you guy's opinion, is it worth it paying the newly established fee for transportation ($300 all zones) or use this money ourselves to get around the island.
Also how reliable is the service the school provides for this amount

If you or anyone else you know will live in Mandalay, do not buy transportation, just use the shuttle service which passes right by Mandalay to go to the North campus.

When did they change the fee structure? How were you informed?
IMHO the service is reasonably reliable.

    FWIW.

Yeah it's reliable, but it sure as heck isn't worth it to pay that if you live in Mandalay or Cortsland.

Also, there are local Taxi service which is not that expensive. If you know some friends who live close by you. You and your friends can split the fees. And you can call those local taxi whenever you want. Not like the school buses. You have to wait for their schedules. Please ask around. And yet, there are some local taxi drivers you have to watch out for. But overall, must go with the ones that students are highly recommended. Safety is first. Good luck with your MD journey at AUA---Mike

The shuttle bus service between each campus is free. The shuttle runs every hour. Mandalay is on the shuttle's route..so if you live at mandalay, you can just wait at the edge of the road and the shuttle buses will pick you up. Cortsland is within walking distance of west campus..where you can also take the shuttle (walking distance in that it takes about 15 min to walk to west campus).

The bus pass that you purchase for $300 is from all the students housing to campus.

But the free shuttle service runs from campus to campus. Mandalay is on the shuttle's route, so you can take it for free (I think).
