    AUA vs SGU

ok I know a AUA is a much newer school but I was curious what the advantages to going to SGU would be over AUA? would some one get a better chance at specializing at SGU?

For starters. SGU has 50 states, AUA does not. SGU has stafford loans, AUA does not.

AUA might be doing something right but is years behind SGU. If you can't get into the top 4, AUA would be a good choice.

    All the best.

I did not apply to SGU but SGU is so much better than AUA. Financial aid is better, rotations, you can practice anywhere in the states. Pick SGU.

What type of requirement are they looking for at SGU that's placing you in the premed program? Are you missing required courses? If you're missing the required courses, than you're probably going to have the same problem at AUA.

However, if it's a problem with your gpa and they placed you in the MPH program, then it's a little different.

well I do not have any of the pre req science courses as of yet and was looking at the Premed program for both. I was also just curious what the real difference was in in terms of getting the residency that one wants after graduation.

I might just do my sciences is the states but I was trying to see if I might have a better shot of getting in if I go to pre med program.

if you're between premed programs, then st.george is the best option.

both programs provide a guaranteed seat for their med program upon completion and st.george med is a much better option.

I had talked to SGU regarding pre-med. They told me its intended more for highschool graduates, and that since I will have a bachelor's I'm better off applying for their medical program or MPH program.

I don't know, maybe you should talk to the admissions on both sides they are really helpful, and give you the right advice taking into consideration your individual circumstances ect. SGU is a bit more expensive as well

a friend of mine also had a degree beforehand too but he applied anyways for premed and they put him in the last semester of premed. he was willing to go back one semester because it guaranteed him admission to the medical school.
