    AUA’s Campus Expansion Work Resumes

    Advertisements

The American University of Antigua College of Medicine is pleased to confirm that work restarted Wednesday November 5th at its $100 million campus expansion project. The University is extremely aware of the need to ensure that those who have been working on the project get back to work as quickly as possible and not suffer any additional hardships. While most construction projects of this size have some contractual disputes, one of AUA's major concerns is getting the Antiguan workforce back earning a living and continuing to be energetic contributors to our new campus. AUA wants to move forward with an urgency towards completion of the project by August 2009. AUA very much looks forward to the time that it can open its new campus so that the ever expanding medical school can provide the best medical education to its students in both the medical, nursing, and related health professions.

    Way to go AUA!

May I suggest Physican Assistant for the "related health professions" you mentioned? Because they pretty much take the same course with medical students which means... probabaly less professors you have to hire... and... etc..

So now the workers are back at AUA doing what they do best. NOTHING!!!! They sit around there pretending to work, and I guess for awhile AUA was pretending to pay them.

Now that they are actually getting paid, expect them to work even slower than before: they want to get paid for as long as possible.

Um, just like CG so effectively stops students from smoking on campus, bringing sodas in the classrooms and makes sure everyone wears their IDs.

Sure, he'll tell them "blah blah blah get to work blah blah put out your ganja blah blah." And they'll act like they're doing it until he leaves. Just like students. Humor him while he's here and then ridicule him once he leaves. lol...

Even the professors and staff make fun of him when he's not there...

Just like the guy who works in the library in the evenings. Only when he knows CG or Dr.B will be coming to check on the library, he ACTUALLY gets out of his chair to make sure students don't have food, etc. So he doesn't get blamed by CG. The rest of the time his is in his seat sleeping, no matter how loud it is in the library, printers not working, etc.

HAHA, 100 million dollars????? Are you serious? Why doesn't the school take some of this "100 million" and spend it on GOOD TEACHERS and more resources. This is a joke right? To start, why doesnt the school spend $400 for a year subscription to USMLEWORLD and give it to the profs so that they can learn it and teach it. Also, maybe buy first-aid books for each prof so that he can tweak his teaching style. 100 million, this has got to be a joke!

Lol! That poor guy is always REALLY tired. I went to pay him for some printing, and he went to look up how much I owed and he fell asleep while he was doing that. I had to wake him up AGAIN just to get him to finish looking up how much I owe.

From the looks of him he probably has obstructive sleep apnea.

I guess then, we need more people like CG around, actually getting things done. but seriously, if you hire antiguans you can't expect work to be properly done (on time). Most of the antiguans are very chill. When you get to this island, always think of it as a way to practice your patience

If they would spend less time looking at female students they might be able to get some work done.
