I highly recommend Harbor Hospital above all others, but that's in Baltimore. I think St. Johns Episcopal is pretty good in New York. Strongly urge you to read up on greenbook rotations etc. by searching this forum before you choose hospitals.

    Thank you Nic and Sree.

Sree, what about the Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY?.I think both St. Johns Episcopal and Wyckoff have Green book rotation for Internal medicine. Which one is better? Please give me your advice. Also what about the Mount vernon hospital, NY?.

Wyckoff and St. Johns are both Greenbook, I would pick St. Johns. If you search the forum - especially the Ross forum, you'll understand why.

Sree or any other person doing clinicals, can you tell me how the clinicals are set up. Do you round with the residents and see patients in the hospital or do you work with a physician at the office during the whole rotation.I have heard from some students doing clinical that they hook you up with a physician and you round with him/her and see patients in their clinics. So if you get stuck with someone who has no patients in the hospital you don't get any experience in the hospital. Is that true.

You set up clinicals by calling the NY office and asking for a clinical advisor.

Whether you work with residents in a hospital or attendings in their offices depends on the rotation. I've done both. If you do a rotation in a hospital that has a residency program in the field, then chances are you'll work with residents and will have plenty of patients. You should extensively research any place that you plan to rotate at - ValueMD's search feature is a good start.
