AIMU- WE ARE HERE TO ransack you

    Advertisements

    Dear friends,
if you are planning to go to Caribbean for studies then please avoid this university.
various reasons to avoid this university-
    1. No USMLE track record. (only 6.students have passed usmle since this university became operational but none of them got the residency).
    2. THEY DONT CHARGE YOU WHAT THEY TELL YOU. ( first 2 years of preclinical would be fine.
but, after that they show you the real face start asking you for money and doctors in clinicals are least bothered to teach you not, because they don't know the subject or they are lazy but because this university don't pay them money for ageis.
    3. At the completion of degree they charge you 3000-7000U.S DOLLARS TO GIVE THE DEGREE.
(still by luck if you have all the guts to wait in front of there office for hours at least 20 times)
    4. Owner of the university is a South Indian fellow who call himself Dr.*** but still it's a mystery how he's a doctor when he don't even hold a phd degree talking about M.D for him is a real far goal.
    5. Whole staff of aimu is nothing but a South Indian circus show with a MBA fellow mr.naveen involving too much into medicine programme
his wife miss. Kavitha who is much more interested in giving personal taunts to students and breaching there private life.
    6. No doubt few teachers are amazing in what they teach you but these South Indian people don't pay them the money and always want there fellows from south india to get the jobs.
    7. They have put the wrong allegations on few mind blowing teachers like dr. Kaun mad dr. Frank and ripped there jobs.
    8. So, dear friends remember you are gonna be there with those narrow minded and unethical people who just wanna loot your pockets.
    9. Most of the students are from south india and Nigeria.
    10. No doubt the Nigerians really study hard and fight with every odd of this school to not get there studies affected and students from south india are there because of the false things preached by consultancies back in India stating that they are going to America which is a false promise and after paying heavy amount of fees they can't afford to go back and those who can they don't stay for a day.
    11. Student teacher ratio is really bad and class room population is too high but the funny part is there are almost no North American or Canadian citizens.
    12. Teaching pattern has already changed from USMLE oriented to MCI oriented.
    13. SO GUYS STAY AWAY AND IF NOT WELCOME TO THE PITHOLE AND DONT BE SURPRISED IF THERE IS NO LECTURER FOR 2-3 weeks in a 3 month semesters.
    14. I WAS THERE in this PITHOLE, so just thought of giving a shout to all the people out there stay beware of AIMU.

    THANK YOU GUYS.

I am not here to ransack AIMU- only to corroborate what is said above

Having studied at AIMU myself, I can join in the warning to avoid AIMU- which is definitely NOT a university.

    1. It is very true that AIMU has a very poor USMLE track record, and very poor enrollment from American and Canadian students.

2 AIMU has always targeted gullible Indian students and Indian workers, and in 2012 formally in meetings made a decision to TARGET NIGERIANS.

3 It is true that AIMU is dishonest. Fellow nursing students with whom I studied were offered scholarships, but were later asked to pay. So when this poster says that “ THEY DONT CHARGE YOU WHAT THEY TELL YOU,” he obviously knows what he is talking about!

4 I have also heard the rumor/ report that AIMU does not pay doctors in clinicals on time.

5 That the owner, who calls himself Dr ***.is neither a medical doctor or that he OBVIOUSLY DOES NOT HAVE A Phd IS CLEAR. This is obvious from his soliloquys at “compulsory” staff meetings ,I am told.

6 It is also true that the management of AIMU is not only top heavy, but woefully incompetent. They are competent only in seeking to remove potent pertinent posts presented on VMD about their perennial and prodigious perfidy. Any administrator or real doctor who has come to teach at AIMU has left because of the way they were treated

7 It is noteworthy that some outstanding teachers who were at AIMU resigned, and AIMU has not been able to replace them for over two years as is clearly indicated by their website.
Some local doctors have been asked to teach these subjects, but they come when they like or when they can, and the students muddle through as they can.

8 On one occasion< when I was a student there *** and the so called Assistant Dean cursed the medical technology students loudly because the students sought to hold *** to his promise to have a lab for their program. This was late 2011. The lab has still not materialized. In fact the trained Medical Technologist teacher left and Rag cursed that girl stink. These are things that can not be refuted.

9 The reason why the local teaching staff don’t take AIIMU seriously is because they are paid poorly by offshore med school industry standards at the better schools. My research reveals that in the poorer schools –usually run by Indians- Indians are hired and paid about US 1000 per month compared to US 3000 to 4000 in the better schools. My understanding also, is that at AIMU teachers are expected to multitask and teach 3 or 4 subjects even if these subjects are out of their subject area.

10 it is absolutely true that if you enroll at AIMU you will be “there with narrow minded and unethical people who just wanna loot your pockets.” This can not be denied.

11 The fact that most of the current students are from south india and Nigeria is totally by design. THESE STUDENTS ARE TARGeTED.

12 It is also true that students are promised that they will be going to America BUT THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A AIMU STUDENT IN ANY RESIDENCY—EVER!

13 That the “ Student teacher ratio is now really bad and class room population is too high” and that “there are almost no North American or Canadian citizens” as at other schools CANNOT BE REFUTED.

14 DONT BE SURPRISED IF THERE IS NO LECTURER FOR 2-3 weeks in a 3 month semester CANNOT BE REFUTED EITHER.
NoR CAN THE FACT THAT THE Provost had her license to practice nursing in the US cancelled.

15 Like you, I WAS ALSO THERE in this PITHOLE, and like you I would warn any one with a sane and sound mind stay away from AIMU.

Just Enrolled - Need Advice for Clinicals

I just transferred into the clinical program last month b/c two of my friends transferred into the school. One of them got into residency. I figured I could take a chance with this school. It's two weeks before rotations are supposed to start and they still haven't given me rotation details. It makes me wonder if they even have one available. After reading your posts I am freaking out. This is exactly what I was afraid of. They said I can choose between clinicals in Chicago, Washington, and Atlanta. I asked for Atlanta, since that's where my friend went. Any advice as to what I can do now? Which rotations specifically were okay? Should I have my Step 1 completed before starting clinicals? Please help!!!

    Hi,
    this is husna
I am so surprised to see this review now,i am actually a student of the university in my med-3
I would to like to inform that all these are rumors......These things are written by people who have been sacked from the university for the reasons of incompetence and lack of proper teaching ability
some faculties have been sacked for improper behavior with students.
    i am from Hyderabad
yes i agree that there are lot of people from south india,is that a problem?
the post itself shows how cheap and vulgar the thought process of the faculty at the same time imagine the words that they used when students form south India approach them.
so i am not going to say that to join AIMU because it is the best but know your facts, speak to students like me and parents and then decide whether to join or not please stay clear of these unprofessional so called academicians
coming to USMLE ,yes it is true there is not a lot of people who got into residency but al lot of people have cracked USMLE step 1 and 2.

    I completely agree with Husna
The university is nothing like as it is portrayed by lucknbucks
i am also a student of AIMU and look im not a south indian
This post is just done by our old unprofessional faculty who were sacked from the university because of their lack of teaching ability
How can people go so cheap when the fault is in them
Instead of learning from the mistake these people are giving AIMU a bad remark!!!!
    thats so down market guys

Are you in rotations in the US now? In trying to communicate with the school, I keep getting the runaround. Any insight?
