AGU (American Global University Medical School) in Belieze --has anyone heard of it?

I am interested in a couple of quesitons about this school
    1. its financial situation
    2. in what states do its graduates qualify for residency
    3. are all of its core rotations green book (ACGME) accredited
    4. any other info positive or negative much appreciated. (ie: do people think its one of those scams or a real viable school)
I am more interested in info concerning 3rd and 4th years and especially residency

    any replies much appreciated.

Really, it is JUST FINE. Im getting my classes, administration is kool, and Belmopan (the city AGUSM is in) is a nice and safe city!
    Thats it! Simple!
    Relax!

I was slamming this place a yr ago,, but found out it is really legit and doing well. Thw owners need to advertise it better.

Take my advice. Stay away from AGU. First off, they have no loans. They claim they have something set up through the University of Phoenix (**). Secondly, they aren't licensed in California. The dean of the school Dr. ****** is full of s***. He and his assistant ***** will lie to yuor face.

    Facts:

I have not felt the need to post on here as of lately due to my busy schedule that I am sure most of us Medical Students can relate to. I have a feeling that the person who made the previous post, has too much time on his hands, or just enjoys making inaccurate false claims.
Regardless of their situation the previous post is 100% inaccurate. I am currently a 3rd year medical student that has been with AGU my entire medical career and not once have I second guessed my decision.

This is not the time to brag on my education I have received from AGU but more importantly to stand up for the administration that is being inaccurately slandered on this web site. Our faculty and especially “The Dean” and ***** both have stood by all of our students and been very supportive and cooperative to many situations. Anyone interested or future students, I would just like to say that after you speak with the people he claims to be liars you too will see that is not the case.

As for the Phoenix loans issue I do not even know how to approach that comment. Yes many of my colleagues do receive loans, but NO they are not through Phoenix and never have been. Bottom line is AGU does have loans and that alone shows the lack of truth to the previous post.

You are NOT currently a third semester medical student at AGU.

    The following are True:
-The site has some false information: The school does NOT look like the one posted on their main website (as of writing this)
-The teachers and "dean" are not the ones that are posted on the website
    -Notice the many broken links?
-The administration will lie to you, they will tell you what you want to hear
-You can never get a hold of the "president", Dr. ***** ******

Think long and hard before making the choice to go to this school

Student55555 . . . Requesting that if you are going to post on this site you read the posts carefully before you begin to reply to them . . . I personally know Charlieosu . . . as his post states, he is a 3rd YEAR medical student (not 3rd semester as you are mistaken). My goodness, if you are a medical student wanting to become a doctor I caution you to be more careful in your diagnosis . . . if a medical malpractice company were to look at all of the mistakes you make in your posts, I would find it criminal for them to insure you . . . you better not make these mistakes as a practicing physician . . . your future professional career as a physician looks like a very short one! I hear Star Magazine is looking for creative writers!

Ok sure...third year...same difference, what does a third "year" medical student at agu do??? Is he doing what a third year medical student is supposed to do?
I like how you find my post all false, but please correct me on all points

What a 3rd year medical student does is learning clinical medicine, rotating in the clinical departments, examining the patients, discussing with supervisors and colleagues, attending lectures and seminars.
Many of us 3rd year students of AGU ( 1st badge ) have done Step 1 exam and the results will be the proof of the existence of AGUSM.

Sasha . . . third year medical students take their Step One . . . Complete their core clinical rotations . . . represent AGUSM within fabulous greenbook facilities. Maybe you should speak with some of your student colleagues who are third year students . . . Pretty impressive things you would learn!

I thought this a yr ago, but was wrong. AGU is legit. It does however have the stigma of being in country that has many failed schools. But that is coincidence only. The school is fine. As for practicing in CA, most offshore schools are in the same boat.
