Be the above as it may, responsible student's that contribute to these forums can do their part to educate the rest as to why the W.H.O. does not mean anything of importance.

It has been a PROVEN FACT that the W.H.O. and its list can be violated by rougue Medical UNOTversities (medical university for the encryption challanged).

Besides; why have a list in the first place? If no accreditation or assurance of quality is given, either written or implied, then the list serves no purpose, other than to facilitate less than vertical marketing tactics.

Some universities out there, use the list as guarentee of some external standard of quality begin achieved and maintained, which is frankly a blantant lie and is misleading.

Most important thing to verify about a school:

****HOME COUNTRY CHARTER****

Important only for testing eligibility:

W.H.O. and the E.C.F.M.G. ............ important for testing elegibility.

but it just another part of the puzzle. As one credential evaluator told me "We use it to get the correct address but we must confirm the existence of the school with the appropriate agency.

You said:---------->
If the country doesn't have an agency overseeing medical schools,

it is difficult for the graduates to license in many places".

Some other lists are used by credential evaluators also..UNESCO, IMED/FAIMER but even THOSE must be reconfirmed.

Schools that proudly list WHO and ECFMG approved are indeed not telling the whole story.
Arizona Skeptic "aka" Eggman "aka" Egg Man "aka" You:

See those " ------>" "thingofamajigs" (thing-of-a-majig's), well those thingofamajigs next to your comments caught my divine attention (grin).

Which other "problems pointed out currently" are you referring?

Pray tell, who else has W.H.O. charter problems?

Second thingofamajig, which government do you know of that does not oversee their medical schools? I ask so I can stay away from those countries.

Ta-ta for now.

that is a generic thing i.e. ANY country that doesn't have appropriate supervision of their schools and apparently problems with documentation of WHO approval dates.
