Thread: Going to Oranjestad

Hi,
I am in Bonaire right now, going to Aruba in September with Xavier.

But before I leave for good, I am going next week to visit and to check things out.

So if you guys have any questions tell me, I will be glad to look into it for you.

You know: how close is McDonald's to Xaiver, how close is Burger King to Xavier, how close is Pizza Hut to Xavier, etc. The important things in life really.

Seriously though, if you have any questions feel free to ask, I will write them down and take them to Aruba and hopefully I can find the answers.

i was just wondering if you'd be able to check out the different places for housing listed .. or with ******* and see which ones are better and closer, also if u can check to see if theres any good gyms around the area as well as cafes and supermarkets.. n one more thing.. see if u can check out the study areas at the campus.. n if ur able to pls take some snaps.. that would be best...

how about the women? they must be smokin hot....

can u check for gym facilities (ie. basketball courts, swimming pools, tennis courts, etc.) - whether they have those on campus or not. Also, if you get time to go around, how the omputer stores are over there - just wanna no whether it'd be better to buy computer here or over there (in terms of cost, etc.). thanx man.

Yup, they have KFC... Burger King... Wendys... McDonalds and Taco Bell but that's all fast food. They also have other great resturants and pizza joints (ie. Dominos, Papa Johns and Pizza Hut).

c'mon guys...let's not burden goodfella with too many unimportant requests...c'mon now, I say. Actually there mostly pretty good, but we all know there are really only 3 important things for him too look for at Aruba (and in life in general). These are:

1) good study/work spaces (for acing ur classes)
2) good internet access (as in WIRELESS access), and
3) recognition by important people (as in recognition by WHO)

These are the 3 ingredients for the recipe known as life. mmm mmm...and they'll make life at Xavier deeeeeeeelicious But leave out even one of them, and u may as well be living in a witches brew, with ingredients such as eye of neut, slow downloads, licensing problems, and more eye of neut. So cook well my friends......cook well

• Will we have access to research, reference & resource materials via any form of a library?
• Also, I believe this was asked but what about the internet capabilities largely used across the isle & on campus, for instance, is it cable, or dial-up?
• How are the classroom settings?
• Will there be any lab facilities?
• Cadavers, What about cadavers for G/A?
• Supplies, is it possible for u to check-out places to re-stock on supplies that may be needed i.e electronic, paper, etc.?
• What is the size of the in-coming class (1st year Med)?
• Will study groups be designated or grouped?
• Any on-campus support groups for spouses that may accompany students?
• Also, I believe "sums" may have req'd but I 2nd, any pictures
• Also, racquetball courts, I know that they are there just not sure where?
