510 points is there any thread with a compiled list of where we can apply for RESIDENCY?
thank you
542 points Here is a list of past & current windsor residents. Some people have added additional programs. There is no official 2012 match list. I know

510 points thank you, again!
510 points so, for the other states not listed above i.e Kansas or Delaware, etc, how do we know if we can apply to these other states for residency?
or if i call the state medical boards, what exactly do i ask them?
I called the school's US office and talked to B******* and i asked what states we can't apply to and she told be as far as she knows we can apply to all the states x|
And that, as we know is not true.

542 points According to a post that was put up by Houmd. I think you are required to have all greenbook rotations in order to do a residency in DE. This information is about a year old so I dont know if anything has changed. I dont know about kansas. Although you can get a residency in PA many residency programs require you to do all greenbook rotations. I found that out when I was looking up FM residencies (eventhough I wont finish until 2014).
542 points here is the post from Houmd. It was posted in 2010
" This is NOT true for certain states. In fact some states require that all your cores and electives be greenbook.
States like:
Texas (unless board certified)
Delaware
Pennsylvania
These are just off the top of my head "
537 points B******* is a liar. Do not listen to her. It's best to go do a Google search of each state's medical licensure requirements yourself. Everyone wants a "list" but no one has made one, partly because it's time-consuming, so you're going to have to search for yourself.
B***** has absolutely no idea and has no intention of learning such things so she'll say whatever she can to rush you off of the phone. Best thing is to do like stated above and that's to just do the leg work yourself and look up the state medical board requirements yourself b/c this is a constantly changing list. If I give you a full list today, it will change in just a couple months and be null & void
Search "State Medical Licensure Requirements and Statistics 2012" on Amazon. You can get a used one for $50.
AMA puts an updated book out every year. I bought the 2010 State Medical Licensure Requirements and Statistics book on Amazon for $3 last month. Don't have the funds to get the new one yet and don't really need it right now but I'm sure some rules have changed since 2010. It's got all the requirements in tables for every state. I mainly got it to see which states require all greenbook rotations to be licensed in that state. In the 2010 book there were 20 states that 'accept clerkships only in hospital departments with ACGME-accredited Programs.' There is a whole section in the book dedicated to International Medical Graduates. I didn't see anything about residency requirements, but there was a whole bunch on board certification requirements by each state.
If you really need the info now just shell out the $50 for the 2012 book. I only bought the 2010 one since it was $3 but now I'm curious to see what has changed in the last 2 years. PM me and I can list the 20 states that are listed on this one. I don't want to post it here since it's outdated.
