I don't have any worries about my transcripts because they are legit (typed in official letter-headed paper, university seal and all). I sent notarized copies for my application.

About residency issues; To a considerable extent, the school in which a residency applicant graduates from, determines his/her getting a residency spot in the U.S.

For instance, it will be very hard or nearly impossible for an IMG from a california - approved and practically 50 states approved university in Zimbabwe or Bolivia (just examples) to get a residency spot in California and other states, over an IMG from a california - approved university in the U.K or Caribbean. Even worse for IMGs from non-california approved schools who graduated from the 1st two countries over the last two aforementioned countries. This is simply because program directors have preferences especially for schools and 'countries', and with past experiences with graduates of your school or country of medical education, they know to what extent an applicant will perform during residency. Not mentioning curriculum differences, usmle scores and citizenship status / immigrant visa issues.

MerlinDoc, I appreciate your explanation and advise. If I have any issue that need clarification, I will definitely ask on the forum. Thanks.

Hi, I'm new here and I heard the same thing. But when I asked the dean, he told me that only like 2 states require undergraduate. The rest are okay. So umm... confused!?!

The dean lies a lot. It is part of his nature. Look up the requirements by state online to determine whether you need college hours or not.

, really!?! ugh... oh and by the way, to apply do you really need a CV? A friend of mine applied and got in without a CV.

No. You don't need one. Don't even send in your college transcripts unless they won't let you go to MD1. Then send them in. They have no business knowing what you have or have not done in the past. They'll ask for bank information, like a scan of your bank account or your parents, tell them you do not have a bank account and keep it all as cash.

The school is run by morons and the fact that they know how much money you have to spare probably plays into the role of them failing you on purpose to milk you of your money.

It is a school run by Indians from India and the mannerisms of India are rampant in the school. You just have to know how to behave with them in return.
