    ECFMG Certification

Does anyone know approximately how long the wait time is for the school to give us our degree and to gain ECFMG certification?

    Thanks!

I would also like to know. But with my experience of the ECFMG is that they are just as slow (if not slower) than the wusm office. Therefore make sure the paperwork gets out of wusm's hands as fast as possible

Yeah, I have been hearing not so great things about the wait time. I've heard anywhere between 2 to 4 months post clinicals!! I would love to get some insight from people who have actually done this process.

Wow, seems like an insane amount of time. Any info on what held it up so long or any advice to speed it up for those of us behind you?

No a 2-4 month time is not typical...more like 2-4 weeks.
Paperwork has to be send from the school initially, but ECFMG sends a verification TO the school once all the paperwork come from the student...that may be where the hang up is...

no offense Roks, but you didn't graduate from the school that goes out of its way to employ the slowest moving staff it can for its US office. I'm convinced that some of our people would be fired from govt jobs for being too inefficient.....

I got my MD diploma on May 20th 2012, and I received my ECFMG certification today. It doesn't take too long.
