here's a link to ohio state medical board
http://med.ohio.gov/pdf/statutes/4731.pdf
on page 14 of the pdf clearly states
The minimum requirement shall be two years of undergraduate work in a college of arts and sciences approved by the board in addition to a high school diploma, or the equivalent of such education as determined by the board.

Hi there,
thanks for all the information. I am considering Windsor for MD1 for January. I just wanted to ask you, I would like to practice in NY. I will have 60 credits by this december. these r the sceince courses which I have taken (general chem1, general Bio1, API, APII, Microbiology, Statistics, and other humanities courses). But I wont have an associates degree. will these courses count towards my 60 credits or r there special courses which I must take to satisfy this 60 credit requirement. thanks for the info.

from what i know, you should be fine since you have 60 credits.
where did you complete your credits? remember that courses done at a university-level are valid..

yes they are the same, because when I took them at a community college they were transferred into a senior college. yes they are at the undergrad level. I also emailed the NYS DOE about my courses that I took and if they would be okay for me to practice in NY. I'm waiting for their email, lets see what happens. thanks though.
