Financial problems. Also, the land where they are located is prime real estate that wants to be developed for Chicago's 2016 bid for the olympics. The rsidents were released from their contracts and have been acceptet as PGY2 and PGY3 next year at university programs such as Wayne State, MSU, UConn, UIC, Case Western, LSU, UF, to name a few. Overall these programs are better than MRH so while bad for MRH it's good for the residents.

Same boat...

IAU only has IM at Harbor and Baton Rouge and has FP at Jackson Park. The few students ahead of me were able to obtain rotations here and there since there was only like 2 students per class.

Most of us are still waiting on NY and greenbook core rotations. Some have transferred, mostly AUA.

BTW, thanks grobble.

That's correct....

I listed each greenbook rotation by the hospital name. And the ones I have listed are the ones that I have found currently. We have a new hospital in the Chicago area and as soon as I get more info on it I will post it.

Fourth years looking for surgery rotations

There is another windsor 4th year who did these rotations and had a very positive experience. If you are at the tail end of your third year check these out. Great experience if you intend to end up in Surgery or FP.

If you are a senior medical student seriously interested on surgery, we offer a two to six months rotation in surgical specialties. Our institution – University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio – is a level 1 trauma with all specialties including transplant, cardiac and pediatric surgery as well as minimally invasive procedures.
For further information go to our site:http://surgery.uthscsa.edu/vissa/program.asp
