I just learned from my friends and statistics from the web that it is harder to get into a vet school in the United States than to get into medical school. It surprises me.

Finally beat Super Mario Bros within 7 mins.
There are only 28 veterinary schools in the United States. Depending on the year 50-60% of the students that apply get rejected. A strong GPA and many documented hours of veterinary experience is needed, both in small and large animals.

511 points The thing I find most iteresting, too, is that vets incomes are really low. Until they pay for their office, assistants, insurance, overhead, they have like about $40K left each year.

Depends on how you are defining it. I think they mean that a lower percentage of people are accepted to vet school than medical school. This isn't the same thing as having a higher GPA, standardized test score, etc.Originally Posted by Hanson
