I'm a med student but my husband studies vet med and he's always complaining abou the lack of internet ifo/resources for vet students. he always says i find lots aof free med books, info tc. while he dosn't; so i was wondering if u guys have any links to vet resources on the net.

I completely agree. VIN is a fantastic resource for vet. students, especially the use Plumb's Drug Handbook and the incredible reference value section they offer for both small and large animals.

This is also free for vet. students and you can sign-up for the "question of the day" in which they send you a daily question from previous board exams. When you click on an answer, it tells you (nicely) if you were right or wrong and gives explanations as well. I find it very helpful to keep up on information I may have studied quite a while ago and keeps me sharp on those subjects. I have yet to see if it will actually help me in passing the board exams, but I figure it couldn't hurt.

There's also several other resources on the site that are well-worth checking-out.

The Cornell Consultant is one I have used a few times. Mainly for path assignments we're given in our 2nd year and are given signalment and clinical signs and must come up with presumptive and ddx.

The Armed Forces Institute of Pathology also has a website that has helped me find info. However, it can be very difficult via their main website. I will usually google a dz and include afip in the search parameter. It has a large number of highly specific cases if you can find it.

I have come across more online resources, many of them are videos. I haven't looked over most of them to verify if they are useful.

Student doctor forums thread. Scroll down to middle of page for many, many google video links. I have only looked at 1 or 2, so VIEWER BEWARE of the content.

Veterinary Videos: What the heck, this is an SGU assistant prof (histology) and I found his website via google. I never had him because he started after I took the class...I hear he is pretty good though, teaches mostly labs and a few lectures.
