I went to Costa Rica

Had a cool trip down to Costa Rica to check out the medical doc program run by Vanguard University Medical School in conjunction with another medical school there. The program is solid.
I would like to thank Mr. ***** Agilar the Vice-Prez of Vanguard along with Rachel, Dalia, Pepe and Juan Jose for the tour. I have some more travelin' to do before I commit though.

Thanks!

university

***,

You should see the place. This is gonna be the next boom, cause from what I read the friggin caribs is goin down.

The name of the med school is Universidad Hispanoamerican (sp?). I think I remember them saying something about a big advertsing job coming maybe thats why they are keeping it hush hush, but since I am not bound to rules of secrecy, SURPISE
I am pretty sure that my mind is made up and I am gonna sign up cause versus the carib, at least costo rica has land mass and the school has what it should have (not to mention a healthy dose of my favorite rest. food chains exist in costo rica).

:P

st lucia

*** or anyone...jeeeez

does anyone have any info on St Lucia? There is a school there that a friend of a friend said was decent.....college of medicine st lucia. But now I am thinkin its just an INTERNET SCHOOL and that is why I dont want to join a program that is all internet, in case i need to kick some a**
oh i mean i may need to kick some a** cause if the internet school takes my cash and runs or just plains rips me off (i got freaked out "RICK JAMES STYLE") after I read about St Luke school of what ever.

anyway for $3k costo rica is still a steal.

PS am I violating any TOS by asking about St Lucia here? I hope not and if I am I apologize.

Thanks for the info about the school. I agree Costa Rica has land mass and actually a pretty good health care system, and the price is great at $3th etc. Good Luck

Hey Brerwolf. No doubt I am shooting to practice medicine in the good ole USA
Ummm, I am looking over the notes that I took and I can't find anything specific on residency.......did you mean clinicals?
And the idea you have to sit in on some classes, now that is a GREAT IDEA!!!!!!!!!! (darn why didn't I think of that?)

Vanguard

Yep I meant clinicals. Typing before coffee is bad for me. Even if Vanguard's program is in English I would want to pick up as much Spanish as possible because I want to work in TX, or NY. I wonder how long it will take Vanguard to knock out all the WHO, lic recognition, doc in the box crap scrutiny. I kind of goofed around my freshman year so Im looking at Mexico or Carib. My family is in TX so it will prob be UAG. But I want to see what goes in Costa Rica and maybe UNIBE also. I think they need to do an open house here in the states, after you get in of course.

clinicals and residencies

how is the school going to help american (on campus) students obtain clinicals and residencies? are they part of the national residency match program? i work with a surgeon who graduated from AUG and did his residency at Columbia, NY and fellowship at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. i do think AUG is only spanish speaking? I could be wrong.
