    Should I take Step 3 before residency?

    I am starting internal med residency this July 2012. Would it be wise to get Step 3 out of the way, or are there stuff in IM residency that u can never learn in a book that'd help me in Step 3?

    Check to see if your program covers Step 3. If it does, obviously save yourself some money and let them cover it the bill.
