Need good solid advice!

I took step2ck last year and did not make it - 157/65. I was averaging 40% on UW. I had no problem with step 1. That was a cakewalk ironically as I did not study for it relatively speaking.

My question: I am studying again and now should I just do UW again as I dont remember any of the questions and the say they change some 25% of the qsOR should I just do kaplan qbank with not so good qs which I never did the first time around?

I am thanking you in advance! I would really appreciate a response!

Thanks.

hello!
i think you should do UW again, 1 reason is you scored only 40% and 2d-you don't remember the Qs.
i have done only UW (i passed my CK) so i can't say anything about Kaplan Q bank.
i think at first UW with all explanations at least 2 months,
then take NBME form 1,
if below 500 then read books again and do Kaplan Qbank....
be sure that you are ready for the exam this time, don't go to the exam without doing NBME (form 2 predicts almost 100%)
good luck.

That's what I thought too...

So I guess I am better off doing just UW although some suggested to do both. I have almost 2 months left so I guess I would be better off just reviewing the ones I missed and going over all the explanations! Right???

I am scoring mostly 58% or 50% with some 43% on the timed exams. I have just started reviewing the kaplan notes. So is that good? I mean what if I am getting 58% on these times tests on UW close to the exam then should I go ahead and take the exam?

THank you for responding! You gave very rational advice!

another question to ask yourself when you got a question wrong, was it because you selected the wrong answer after narrowing down the selection to 2 choices, or becuase you had no idea of the right answer and guessed.
