Got my score and I passed. here is my view on the exam. . .

my exam experience:

what I studied:

Kaplan books, UW (1 month), kaplan q-book, and some q bank questions ( total of 4 mo. prep off and on)

In my honest opinion. . . I thought the actual exam was quite different than the UW or Kaplan. (less straightforward) UW and Kaplan are good resources to learn your material, but none is accurate enough to the real exam. On the actual exam, literally anything can be asked, and the answer choices you expect to the questions are usu. not there. . . therefore, many of answers you end up choosing is by ruling out the wrong answers and still when I walked out of the exam, I couldn't predict if I passed or failed.

I found the exam to be long and tiresome. Even though I finished all the blocks except the first one. I had to rush and finish the blocks because my clock was winding down. Many questions were long and w/ A-J answer choices. So I honestly recommend on practicing on your timing. During the last 3 blocks, I had constant severe headache and I found myself staring some questions, re-reading it to try to make some sense out of them. but again kicked myself to push to the finish line effectively.

My advice is to learn as much as material as you can and do questions and more questions to get your brain programmed to use what u have learned.

Good luck!

hi favpatho
would you mind sharing your UW score? and your nbme if you did? I have been studying for the CK and my test is coming... my score is still on the 52 total. sometimes up to 60 but that's rare... so I'm getting a bit uncertain about taking the test. maybe I should reapply and study another month...
thanks

This is very similar to my experience in step 2 CK
