Thread: Urgent Question

Hi,

sorry for putting this question in this forum but it wouldnt let me post in others...i just wanted to know if we do a residency for example in louisiana but want to ultimately go back to texas after but cant get a texas residency b/c electives were not done at greenbook hospital...if we finish residency in Louisiana and then take the state boards and become board certified can we then go back to texas and practice there since we are board certified..someone told me this was true...and i was skeptical because then everyone who wanted to get back into texas no matter what school they were from could do it by getting board certified? sorry if this is a confusing post

I knew a couple of people from Illinois who did their rotations in a non-greenbook hospital and wasn't able to get licensing in Illinois. When you apply for licensing, they will ask you to list all your rotations and their affiliations.
