Mnemonics for writing inv for Pt note

I have made this mnemonic for investigations ,I found it very useful whenever I write inv for Pt note for any case


Some people have problem in writing investigations in Pt note in short period of time, but if you have worked in “I C U “ and “E”mergency you will never have problem in writing many inv in short period of time.

“ ICU”

I=Imaging of that system(X *** CT MRI)

C=CBC

U=Urine toxicology screen(universal inv and universal D/D=subs abuse )

E=E for Each system separate

E in CNS= EEG(+EMG +ECHO for embolic source and when talk about Emboli Donot forget carotid Doppler for vessel carrying emboli to CNS

E in CVS=EKG ,ECHO

E in Ms Sk syst= ESR

E in Abd=Exam( rectal ,I remember urine here if renal is concerned)
+ Endosopy(upper or lower)
E in Endo and Psychaitry=Electrolytes
