All CSA Testing Spaces Through January 31, 2003 Are Filled
(originally posted October 23, 2002, updated November 1, 2002)
All CSA testing spaces available through January 31, 2003 are filled. As announced by ECFMG in April 2002 and published continuously via the ECFMG website and repeatedly in ECFMG's e-newsletters, applicant correspondence and other venues since April, results for examinees who take the CSA on or before January 31, 2003 will be reported to the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP), or "the Match," in time to participate. Applicants who have a scheduled CSA test date in Philadelphia or Atlanta during the period beginning September 28, 2002 through November 30, 2002 should refer to the Special Announcement available on this website for important information on score reporting.
ECFMG administers the CSA in its Philadelphia and Atlanta test centers. If you are registered for the CSA but do not have a scheduled test date, you can schedule your CSA session at your assigned test center for a date after January 31, 2003. However, as ECFMG has published throughout the year in a variety of media, results for CSA sessions after January 31, 2003 will not be available in time to participate in the 2003 Match.
If you are registered for the CSA but have not scheduled your assessment, keep in mind that you must schedule within four months of the date indicated on your notification of registration. The date you select must be within twelve months of the date indicated on your notification of registration. Registered candidates can schedule a CSA session on the web using ECFMG's CSA Candidate Scheduling or by calling (215) 970-1982 Monday through Friday, 0800-2400 EST. Registered applicants are assigned to either the Philadelphia or Atlanta test center when they access CSA Candidate Scheduling (via phone or the web) to check available test dates or schedule their test sessions.
If you have not registered for the CSA but plan to do so, you are strongly encouraged to apply for the CSA as soon as you are eligible and to schedule your assessment as soon as possible after you are registered. As stated in the ECFMG Information Booklet and CSA Candidate Orientation Manual:
It is solely the responsibility of the applicant to complete the CSA in time to meet deadlines imposed by the NRMP and / or GME programs. Since the number of applicants seeking to complete the CSA may exceed the spaces available in time to meet those deadlines, there is no guarantee that sufficient spaces will be available for all applicants to meet deadlines imposed by the NRMP and / or GME programs. ECFMG assumes no liability of any kind if an applicant does not complete CSA in time to meet NRMP and / or GME program deadlines.
