my exam experience
Hey guys...sorry I was out of town for a while after I took the exam last week. First of all...it's a long long test! A test of endurance! Most of my questions were from medicine and could be answered from Kaplan. I also felt like I had a lot of ob/gyn but nothing out of the ordinary and as long as u know it you should be fine. Not much surgery only a few questions here and there. I had 2 ekg's which you couldn't figure out from the history and i'm not even sure I knew them. no CT's..a couple of x-rays...I did not feel like I had that much neuro and brain lesions as everyone was saying...I did have alot of nerve injuries though..I studied only from kaplan for about 3 months and took the video course and i feel it was excellent. I also did NMS and Qbook on which my average score was a 65. On the Kaplan CD I got a 74. I do not feel that qbank is much representative of the exam but those questions give you too many hints HOWEVER i think doing 50 questions blocks on the computer really does help you prepare for the real thing. Hope this helps you guys out if you have any questions. Feel free to ask. Good luck to everyone and thanks for your help.

Keep us informed
Congratulations on being done. I am taking it Friday. You will have to let us know how you did. The 74% on the Kaplan CD, Was that the new one for 2003 or the older one? I also got 74% on the new one and got an average of 73% on Qbook. NMS, I am not sure of. I wish you luck and will post as soon as I get my scores back.
Wish me luck on Friday! drjdiz |
