Need advice on step 2
to anyone,
i need some advice on kaplan live lecture series for step 2. i took kaplan live lecture series for step 1. i never regretted it. it helped me in many ways but mainly in gearing me in the right direction for the exam. now...as i approach step 2 (planning to take it in august of 2003), im wondering whether to take the live lecture course for step 2 or just do another option like Medpass/etc. i would like some serious feedback from those who took the live lecture course for step 2, and those who chose other methods. for those who did Medpass from kaplan, are watching the video lectures, going through kaplan books, doing q-bank..just as thorough as going to the live lecture? did the live lecture course truly benefit anyone more than the videos? |

re: step 2
I didn't take the live lecture for step 2, but I did take the video course along with the Q bank. I found the Q bank to be great, and the Q book as well. The lectures, while they were really good, didn't hit the information well for Step 2, from the questions I got on the test. I would recommend you save the money for the live lecture, and buy a used set of lecture notes and do questions. Some of the books that were really helpful were:
1. Boards and Wards 2. Crush the Boards 3. NMS Q book 4. Kaplan Q book 5. Kaplan Lecture Books 6. Kaplan Q bank If you're good with those, then I think you should do pretty well - and you'll save 4000 + dollars |
