I would have to agree with the poll; Kaplan lecture notes/vids are the way to go. I am really annoyed by the lack of info in almost every review book out there; what MTB for CK has, FA doesn't have; what FA has, Step Up doesn't have; what Step Up does have, MTB doesn't have. You get the idea. I've been using several review books as I go along and none of them are fantastic. MTB for CK seems great for IM and sucks for everything else. FA is ok for most of IM and is ok for Ob/Gyn and Peds...FA doesn't even have a surg section. I would say MTB CK is the best one out there in terms of helping you answer questions (1st step, next step, most accurate, etc) but is lacking in a lot of info. FA has a lot more info but sucks in terms of "next step, most accurate test".

I've been able to answer almost every Uworld question with info from Kaplan lecture notes but no one is going to review all that before the exam. It really doesn't seem that hard to make a comprehensive review book like FA for Step 1...why does one not exist? Why do I have to look at 3 diff books to review sections, some of which are packed with notes from Kaplan on things as simple as breast feeding and immunizations that the other books just decided not to include? Sucks!

Personally I had good experience with DIT for Step 1 so I'm sticking with them for Step 2. Good luck all!

Did you guys use Master the Boards or the kaplan lecture books written for each separate rotation? I am trying to buy all the lecture books...let me know if any of you are interested in selling! thanks.
