Advice NEEDED on Step 2 Prep

Hi, I dont have the slightest idea about how to begin studying for step 2. I dont know what materials are out there, what books, q banks, lectures, notes. Any and all advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks

Hello Heiti

Most people go over the Kaplan books, also they use the usmle step 2 secrets that is actually the same book as crush the usmle step2 the only difference is that one is made with questions and answers.

Also people tend to use usmle world as a question bank.
You could use the Kaplan Q bank, but it seems is lower quality and to expensive.
Also you need to be taking the NBME exams so you know where you are.

Here in this thread you might find a general good idea how to go about the preparation

I wish you success in your exams

Have any students taken the exam while in rotations (w/o taking weeks off to study for it)? The threads I've read so far most students take a good 4 wks off to prepare... is this true?
