Failed step2ck twice - Need sincere advice

I am at SGU and although I passed step1 on first attempt without putting too much effort into it, I have managed to fail step2ck twice. My score approx the same both times 157/65. I took the live prep course for step1. I feel like I have a lot of clinical knowledge bt when iot comes to the exam I get cold feet. I read all the Kaplan notes at least once and did UW mostly times with a score of 47%. I am thinking about take the live lecture course now and doing Kaplan Qbank as I have used up the UW bank qs and they look familiar. i would really like to hear from anybody with serious suggestions. I used to go to prep4usmle site bt decided to join here and ask you guys.

Keep trying!!! You can do it! You can take the course in NJ, they have a close to 99% pass rate.

I'll keep you guys posted and I really feel like I dont need the course.

I mean after going over all the material and both the Kaplan and UW qbanks bI should be fine. Marcus the gun pupil said the same thing.

I think that if you failed the CK twice then maybe you should consider a course- sometimes these courses offer a lot of insight. Also I think that doing questions and really reading the explanations is mandatory. When I did CK I really felt as if the books gave me cold facts but the test really wanted integration and some knowledge of guidelines. I think that the best way to do it is either with a course or a good study buddy. All in all it jst one more thing you have to push yourself through to get it over with.... Good luck

Did the liveprep course help you? I took it for step1 and I think besides Pathology everything else was something I could have read onmy own. It would be a big step for me to take the corse as it would delay me almost by a month for the match if I were to take it. So I need to make sure that I would really benefit from it.

Winston...

I did not do the NBMEs before at all. But I will now once I am done with my reading and then take another one later.

What do you think about the liveprep course though?
