IF anyone knows...
This might seem like a stupid question, but if anyone knows please tell me....
In kaplans internal medicine book it says if a pt has serious gi bleeding 1.) give normal saline or ringer's lactate 2.)do cbc, type, crossmatch and prothrombin time I dont understand why u would check the prothrombin time, is it to rule out gi bleeding due to clotting factor deficiency? and if so, then wouldnt you want to check PT and PTT? or am i just missing something? ![]() Thanks for your help in advance |
