I just finished exam today

i got 70/171 at last year. But for some reasons. I take a rest for half year then study again on last Novemer. I do NMS Qbank is 50-64. BSS Qbank (pharm,biochem, cell biology, genetic, physiology) is 52-70. And do Kaplan 2002 edition which copy at CD is 64-72. I study focus on Kaplan note and BRS physicology, pathology. HY Neuroanatomy, anatomy, Histology, Embryo and molecularbology. MRS micro. I take a glance on Goljan 100 page HY from friend. But I think it's too simple and no use to my exam this time
I just finished exam today. But exam is much more tricky than i expect. Most questions are Molecular biology,cell biology, genetic.they ask very tricky and tough. Original i expect do NMS and BSS Qbank is enough. But when i started to ask the USMLE question today. I feel very strange and don't know where they ask come from ???? Kaplan note and HY too simple. Pharm and micro are also very difficult. They ask very detail. Kaplan note and first aid also no use on this two subjects. Behavior are always how to talking with patient. And i always give up. I do behavior questions on Kaplan 2002 edtion. It's simple and you only need to follow some formula on Kaplan notes is OK. But to USMLE questions. It's not OK.
The only subjects i thinks not too tricky are physio, anatomy and general patho. But they are not much. Most questions are start at patho then ask you about their molecular things. Original i expect it won't difficult too pass this time. Because some of my friends they do Kaplan Qbank only score 52-60 also already pass step 1. But when i finished my exam today. I feel very depression and want to cry. I dont' know how should i study on those tricky subjects. All i can do is pray to pass this time. Can anyone have some suggestions to me ???

Oh my God, I can not beleive that somebody had the same experience as me in the exam , I took my exam lastr August, and I did the same as you, I took Kaplan, did qbank was doing good took Kaplan simulated in the center got 60%, and I failed , I was devastaded, but my opinion regarding the exam is the same as you, it was nothing like the qbank or Kaplan the exam format is different, me now what I did is buy a histology and cell biology (mosby ) is a green book published in 2005, beleive it is helping a lot, I will advise you to buy it, it is very good, and go back read your Kaplan notes over and over again, and use this book as backup for every subject and good luck

Could you give the details of the title, authors etc. of the cell biology book from Mosby so I can check it out.

I also took the exam, and my core was 69, now Im preparing to take it again but Im afraid that they well ask B**s of molecular biology or other stuff that IMG ARE WEEK.
